The approach of my  Practice is from a Holistic view point. The treatments offered here are specifically to enhance the well being of the client through treating the body as a whole rather than the condition presented exclusively. 

 

Counselling

My counselling approach is Integrative Art. This means that different theoretical approaches are used to try  to understand both the beginnings of psychological problems from the past, what is happening currently and how they form the person we are now. The Arts are used to express deep emotions of the soul.

The  goal of Therapeutic Counselling is the greater understanding of life’s experiences and how we can life a much fulfilling life. Examples of Therapeutic Approaches include Psychodynamic, Gestalt, Humanistic, Transactional Analysis and Transpersonal. Every client is unique and so your treatment plan is tailored to suit your individual needs  with information drawn from your life (past/present), supported by the various theoretical approaches.

Bereavement Counselling is available to support clients who are struggling with issues of loss and bereavement. This encompasses struggling with issues of death, loss of relationships & loss in general.


I was in a very dark place and thought I would see Marilyn for help. During our sessions, I felt safe and supported. I benefited from the sessions and now manage my life in a different way, eat healthily and I see results. I want to thank Marilyn for helping me on my way to a new way of life.

Creativity occurs in the right brain and this enables us to communicate our emotions through images. The Arts are used to help you to be more expressive of your emotions using metaphor and a range of techniques including:
